Conference Information

Conference Participants
The Pennsylvania Family Support and Home Visiting Conference is designed for FS/HV program leaders, including administrators, directors, home visitor supervisors, directors of CQI efforts, or data managers. The conference is not designed for home visitors providing direct services to families. FS/HV programs are encouraged to bring family leaders to the conference.

Participation of Family Leaders
OCDEL continues to promote family voices in all its work. For the FS/HV conference, OCDEL is encouraging each FS/HV program to identify family leaders from their FS/HV programs who would like to attend the conference. During the conference, there will be breakout sessions and other activities designed for family leaders.

Family leaders are current or past participants in FS/HV programs who also play leadership roles in the program. For example, family leaders may be participants in local advisory groups, participants in CQI activities, or participants or facilitators of Parent Cafés.

Your help is needed to identify family leaders in your programs and help them to register for the conference. The Family Leader Conference Information handout provides information about the conference that family leaders will need. Please share it with family leaders from your program who might be interested in attending.

Funding is available for family leaders to cover the costs for mileage/tolls to travel to the conference, hotel rooms, meals, and child care costs. Family leaders should register for the conference and indicate they are family leader. Further information on payment for conference expenses will be sent to each family leader.

Conference Registration Limits
Due to space limitations at the venue, only 250 participants will be accepted. To allow for equal representation, a maximum of three administrative/supervisory staff from each Family Support and Home Visiting program may attend. Each FS/HV program should plan to bring at least one family leader.

Costs
There is no registration fee for the Family Support and Home Visiting Conference. Lunch will be provided on both days of the conference and a continental breakfast will be provided on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.

Hotel room and taxes will be covered by the conference.  All participants MUST make their own hotel reservations by October 13, 2022.  Please see the details below. Participants are responsible for other conference expenses, including meals not provided at the conference, and travel costs.
