Overview: The CQI Learning Initiative webinar series is designed to help Family Support and Home Visiting staff further understand what CQI entails, and why CQI is a key component of ensuring a high-quality program. The webinar series is composed of seven different one-hour webinars that will cover:

  • Why Family Support Teams work on CQI; 
  • MIECHV CQI reporting requirements;
  • How to establish a strong CQI Team;
  • How to make data informed decisions when working on CQI;
  • How to use CQI tools and how to scale-up in CQI projects; and
  • How to communicate your CQI efforts and results to your community and families. 

Each of the webinar series will be repeated at different dates and times.  All Each of the webinar series will be repeated at different dates and times. All sessions will be recorded and posted to this webpage.

Who should participate: Family Support and Home Visiting CQI Teams are required to have at least one team member attend. Any Family Support and Home Visiting staff who are interested in learning more about the CQI process are also strongly encouraged to participate.

Registration: Please send a list of the names and emails of CQI team members to Christina Janosky at [email protected]Ifadditional family support staff are interested in participating, please include their information as well. There is no fee or cost to participate. 

Certificates of Attendance: Certificates of attendance will be available for those who participate in the webinar and complete an evaluation. The evaluation form will require entering a code provided at the end of the webinar.

Handouts: Please find the handouts for each session below.

Joining the webinar: In order to hear and see the webinar, you will need a computer/tablet with stable internet access and speakers.  If you don’t have speakers, you will be able to listen to the webinar using a phone.  You and your CQI Team will get the most out of the webinar, if you are able to both hear and see the webinar.  

Shared Opportunities for Learning: To encourage learning and further understanding, smallactivities will be assigned to CQI teams in between webinars. Sharing opportunities will be made during the webinars, and CQI Teams can request individualized meetings as needed. It is anticipated that teams will begin CQI projects at the beginning of 2021. Teams will have an opportunity to work with the Family Support Specialist, Christina, to develop a new CQI project and to determine timelines.

Joining the Webinar: To hear and see the webinar, a computer/tablet with stable internet access and speakers or headphones is needed. If speakers or headphones are not available, participants will be able to listen to the webinar using a phone. Participants and their CQI Team will get the most out of the webinar, if they are able to both hear and see the webinar.

Webinar security: In order to ensure that the webinar series is safe for all participants, a number of security measures will be used.  When you enter the Zoom meeting, you’ll be placed in a waiting room until the host admits you.  Please join the session at least 10 minutes prior to the start time in order to allow time for the waiting room process.  Once you join the webinar, your camera will be turned off and your microphone will be muted.  

If your device is not labeled with your name and program, you will be asked to update it once you have entered the Zoom room.  Directions will be provided when you join the meeting.  

Audio and visual quality are dependent on a number of different factors, including the internet signal at your site. Check your internet stability if possible.  Close out all unnecessary computer applications to save bandwidth.
